Hello all
I have a problem that i'm hoping the great xda community can help me solve. OK so some back story.
I bought a stick on QI charging pad that sticks to the back of the battery. yes i know that was my first mistake. Second mistake involves some water... Phone slipped into the sink while i was brushing my teeth. I didn't take the phone apart right away thinking that it didn't get that wet and it's IP67 right... Couple hours later i pulled my phone out of my pocket and it was on what appeared to be the first part of the download screen. Only had three lines of text, one of the the stating something along the lines of EMMC error. I pulled the back cover off and found that the QI pad was wet. There didn't seam to be any water anywhere else. I pulled the batter and let the phone dry for a while just in case. When i powered it back up it went into the download screen with a warning about EMMC not found. After a couple of reboots i got something along this line .
boot recovery mode
check boot partitions. .
sbl1 partition doesn't exist
At this point i figured the boot partition was corrupted so i used Odin and flashed the AO6 stock tar. Everything booted and seamed great.
Now i cant get the battery to last for more than 5 hours. i thought that the wet QI pad maybe shorted the battery so i bought a new stock battery, no dice. Did many phone resets and full battery and drain and charge cycles like i found in many forums here.
I'm at the point of thinking that the EMMC partitions got messed up and the battery isn't reporting correctly.
Can i flash a PIT file and fix this issue, if so what pit file.
That's about the end of my knowledge right now. If anyone has any ideas or helpful suggestions i would be very grateful.
