[Q] Do I need to update the firmware? topic

I'm currently on 6.09.401.11 firmware, but my USB port has a damaged data pin so I can't update it via Fastboot.
Am I likely to have any issues if I go ahead and flash a Lollipop rom, even though I have old firmware?
