I wanted to build a cable for my phone, to control music transport such as Play, Next Song and Previous Song for a Samsung Galaxy Tab, which was installed in my car.
I tried to build a cable using several resistors and three switches. I DO know the values for the resistors, but I can't publish the link to the article that describes the build instructions, but if you google "Build a Cable to Control Your Android Phone While You Drive" the article should pop up immediately.
However, only the play/pause button works, no volume up, no next/previous song.
Is it possible to build a cable that CAN control audio transport?
