Will Phone work on removal of it's primary Camera topic

Team,

Will a phone work perfectly fine if we remove the primary camera from the phone who does not have a secondary camera in it?

If not then is there any way we can make it work if we remove it's primary camera? Can we have a customized OS who can take care of the same.

Please advice.
